OpenMontage is an open-source agentic video-production system that turns AI coding assistants into a programmable production studio. Users describe a video in natural language and an agent can handle research, scripting, shot planning, asset generation, stock-footage retrieval, editing, audio, captions, and final composition. The system can work with generated media providers as well as free stock footage and open archives, allowing it to produce both AI-generated sequences and conventional edited video.

OpenMontage integrates multiple image, video, voice, music, and language-model providers while using tools such as Remotion for final composition. Because the workflow is driven through coding agents, projects remain inspectable and customizable rather than being locked into a single visual editor.
