CloakBrowser is a modified Chromium distribution designed for browser automation environments where ordinary automated browsers are easily identified. Instead of relying only on runtime JavaScript patches, the project changes browser fingerprints and automation signals at the Chromium source level and exposes the result through familiar automation APIs.

The project is designed as a near drop-in replacement for Playwright and Puppeteer in Python and JavaScript. Its modifications cover browser fingerprint surfaces and input behavior, and it includes optional humanized mouse, keyboard, and scrolling behavior for automation testing and other controlled browser workflows.

CloakBrowser is a specialized tool for developers testing automation against sophisticated bot-detection systems and for environments where realistic browser behavior matters.
