ECC is an open-source engineering system and toolbox for AI coding agents. Instead of relying on a developer to repeatedly describe the same software-development process in prompts, ECC gives an agent a reusable workflow built around planning, testing, implementation, review, verification, memory, and continuous improvement.

The project provides a large collection of specialized agents, skills, commands, hooks, rules, and memory features covering areas such as architecture, security, test-driven development, research, documentation, frontend work, data, machine learning, operations, and build repair. It is designed to help coding agents preserve useful context, review their own work from a fresh perspective, learn from repeated tasks, and turn successful approaches into reusable workflows.

ECC works most closely with Claude Code while also providing support or adapters for Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini, Zed, GitHub Copilot, Antigravity, Qwen, and other agent harnesses. It also includes AgentShield for scanning agent-related configuration, prompts, hooks, permissions, secrets, MCP configuration, and other potentially sensitive components.
