Claude-Mem is a memory layer for Claude-based development workflows that preserves useful context across separate sessions. It automatically captures observations from tool usage, generates summaries, stores session knowledge, and makes that information searchable so an agent can recover project context after a session ends or a connection is restarted.

The system combines a local service, SQLite storage, semantic and keyword search, and a dedicated memory-search skill. By keeping prior decisions, observations, and summaries available for later retrieval, Claude-Mem is useful for long-running software projects where developers want an assistant to maintain continuity without repeatedly re-explaining the same architecture, history, or previous work.
