Chat2DB is an open-source, cross-platform database client and SQL workspace with an integrated AI assistant. It is designed for developers, database administrators, analysts, and data teams that want conventional database management tools together with natural-language help for generating, explaining, and optimizing SQL.

The application supports more than forty database systems and includes SQL editing and execution, metadata browsing, table and object management, in-place data editing, import and export, charts, dashboards, and ER-oriented workflows. Users can connect their own AI model, while a CLI with MCP support extends database access into agent workflows.
