9Router is an open-source AI routing gateway for connecting coding assistants and command-line agents to many model providers through one local endpoint. It is designed to reduce interruptions and model costs by routing requests across subscriptions, inexpensive APIs, and free providers while translating between common API formats.

The router includes quota tracking, multi-account support, automatic token refresh, provider fallback, OpenAI-to-Claude format translation, and token-saving features that compress large tool outputs before they reach the model. It supports popular coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Cline, OpenClaw, and others, with dozens of model providers and self-hosted backends.

9Router is aimed at developers who use several AI coding subscriptions or APIs and want a single layer for balancing cost, quotas, and availability.
